Of the 762 admissions,579 were under Chinese

native treatment, 167 were treated by Dr. Chung according to

Western principles, 2 were transferred to Kennedy Town Hospital

12 to the Govt. Civil Hospital, and 2 to the Italian Convent.

Of the 222 deaths,48 (44 male & 4 female) were

moribund on admission, death occurring within a few hours after

reception into the Hospital.

In addition to the above, 83 dead hodies (66

male and 17 female) were brought to the Mortuary to await

burial.

419 destitute persons were temporarily housed

and fed during the quarter, as follows.-

During the quarter Dr. Chung has successfully

performed the following operations:-

Lateral Lithotomy in a child,

Modified Linear operations for double cataract.

Removal of Necrosis from lower Jaw.

Amputation of great toe.

Excision of Sebaceous Cyst.

Operation for fistula in ano.
